This is the Chicago TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach Control) in Elgin, Illinois. This facility provides air traffic control services for traffic landing Chicago-O'Hare Int'l Airport as well as smaller airports in the area. I was the Manager of the Chicago TRACON OSF (Operational Support Facility). I had a staff of eight people that basically kept the computer systems operating properly. On January 2nd, 2007, I retired after over 38 years of service. I can't say I was sorry to leave. It won't be missed! My wife and I will be starting a new life back in the South with old friends and family.
